Every photograph submitted to INPCA undergoes a structured, multi-layered evaluation conducted by certified experts. We have moved away from subjective "likes" to a purely analytical system designed to help you grow.
Stage 1
The Quality Gate
Before any image reaches the jury, it is pre-screened by our editorial team. This ensures every image in the competition meets the minimum professional standard — from technical mastery to infant safety.
If an image is rejected during pre-screening (due to technical failure or safety issues), the submission credit is fully and automatically refunded to the photographer.
Audit Criteria
- Technical FocusIs the subject sharp and focus intentional?
- Lighting QualityIs the exposure controlled without major clipping?
- Safety CheckIs the posing safe and the newborn supported? (Non-negotiable)
- PresentationNo watermarks, logos, or distracting borders.
Stage 2
The Expert Jury Wizard
Judges follow a rigorous 4-step digital evaluation workflow to ensure absolute consistency and lack of bias.
Visceral Impact
The judge records their first emotional reaction before analytical thinking begins. This captures the "Soul" of the image.
Weighted Criteria
The core evaluation. Every image is scored across 5 dimensions using established industry weights.
Industry Taxonomy
Judges select from a library of 40+ professional markers. These tags form the raw data for the professional report.
The Verdict
The final consensus is generated. A weighted average combined with the impact bonus creates the Final Index Score.

If two images have equal scores, the image with the earlier submission timestamp determines the higher rank.
